Manager Clothing Programs (Martha’s
Outfitters)
Martha's Table, a non-profit organization that helps at risk children, youth, families and individuals in our community improve their lives by providing educational programs, food, clothing and enrichment opportunities has an open position as Store Manager, Clothing Programs.
This position is a full-time position that is responsible for the management of Martha’s Outfitters, our community thrift store, and assisting the Director with the overall activities of our clothing and housewares distribution programs.
Responsibilities include: managing staff and volunteers to ensure that clothing, housewares and other in-kind donations are received, accounted for, and processed for sale; pricing inventory; maintaining the store clean and inviting; ensuring that the store room is clean and organized; managing the referral process whereby individuals in need receive clothing for free; developing and maintaining a web presence using social media; planning and executing promotional and sales events and interfacing with institutional donors; and exploring and executing on opportunities to expand our services.
We are seeking an individual with at least 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably with experience opening and managing multiple locations; excellent customer service and organization skills; a positive, dynamic approach to work and the ability to take on increasing responsibilities.
A Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in business, accounting or retail management is desired. Preference will be given to Veterans.

Full Time Infant Pre-School
Teacher
Martha's Table, a non-profit organization that provides services to low-income families and individuals with food, clothing, day-care, after school and summer programs have opportunities for a Lead Teacher.
The teacher will work with children from 3-15 months and will be responsible for the overall classroom management. In addition, this position is a part of Martha’s Table licensed programs under the Office of Early Childhood Development of the District of Columbia and as such is responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements. Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required.
Teachers should have the following qualifications:
A teacher should be at least twenty (20) years of age and meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in early childhood education or early childhood development: or
- A bachelor’s degree an accredited college or university and a CDA; or
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and fifteen (15) college credit hours in early childhood development or early childhood education; proof of enrollment in accredited college/university or
- An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or early childhood development plus (2) years supervised experience.
- Qualifications for Infant Assistant
Additionally, the teacher should have one year of infant toddler experience working in a child development center.

Full Time Infant Pre-School
Assistant Teacher

The assistant teacher will work with children from 3-15 months and will be responsible for assisting the teacher with overall classroom management. In addition, this position is a part of Martha’s Table licensed programs under the Office of Early Childhood Development of the District of Columbia and as such is responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements. Bi-lingual skills preferred but not required.
The following qualifications are required:
An assistant should meet the requirements of one (1) of the following:
1. A child development Associate
2. Two (2) or more years of college from an accredited college or university and demonstration, of skill and competence with children.
3. Qualifications for Infant Assistant
Additionally, the assistant teacher should have one year of infant toddler experience. Infant CDA plus enrollment in college leading towards a degree.

LEAD TEACHER
Martha's Table, a non-profit organization that provides services to low-income families and individuals with food, clothing, day-care, after school and summer programs has an opportunity for a Lead Teacher to work in our Children’s Program (5-9) years.
The teacher would be responsible for planning and evaluating a curriculum that is consistent with the goals and philosophy of Martha’s Table and that meets the individual developmental emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of the children as well as their interests. Additional responsibilities include holding weekly meetings, developing planning guidelines for the assistant teacher, as well as, equipping the classroom with age appropriate learning resources.
Teachers should have one of the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a minimum of 15 hours in early childhood education courses;
- Two (2) or more years of college, including at least (15) hours of early childhood education courses; and (1) year of experience in a child development facility;
- A high school diploma or its equivalent and (3) years of experience as a teacher or assistant teacher in a child development center, plus, on or before July 1,1977, (9) college credit hours in early childhood education from an accredited college or university; or
- Experience as a teacher or assistant in a licensed child development center; provided, that he or she has been awarded a child development associate credential.
The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
