Michael Bartscherer

Michael Bartscherer is the Director of Martha’s Outfitters, a clothing and housewares store that provides many of life’s basic necessities to those in need while also providing the community with a unique shopping experience, quality clothing and new or nearly new items for the home.  Michael has extensive operational experience having served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for America Online, Inc., overseeing the company’s real estate, travel, food, security, sourcing and facility operations. 

Prior to his career at AOL, Michael practiced law with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., in Washington, D.C., where he focused principally on antitrust, international arbitration and business counseling.  Michael also served on the board of the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia and a number of business community boards in Northern Virginia.  He was a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, where he worked with farmworkers in the San Joaquin Valley and also did international development work in Nicaragua and Jamaica.
